2. The Margaret River Farmers’ Markets

3. Surfers Point

Home to the annual Margaret River Pro surfing comp, Surfer’s Point offers breathtaking views of one of the best breaks around. Head down for sunset with a bottle of wine and a picnic rug, or take a drive during the day and grab a smoothie from Acai Corner, a new food van that offers healthy and delicious drinks and snacks to anyone that needs a boost.

4. Leeuwin Estate for Lunch

For fine dining overlooking a breathtaking bush setting, we highly recommend Leeuwin Estate. The service is on point, and the wines are by far some of the best in the Margaret River region. Look out for their alfresco concerts, which happen on the green beneath the stars. Past performers include Ray Charles, Diana Ross and more recently, Chris Isaac.

5. Family fun

There are heaps of great adventures for kids in Margaret River, so we thought we’d list some of the more popular ones here:

  • Yallingup Maze – a huge maze just 25 minutes from Margaret River.
  • Country Life Farm – hand feed farm animals, plus bouncy castles and boat rides.
  • River Mouth – kids can paddle in the protected river, just down from Surfer’s Point.
